The last of this series (though I have a few dozen more photos from this tour & I may post a couple more of them at some point).
This is our tour guide in front of a group of murals in Balmy Alley. Though murals are spread out all over the Mission district, the one block long Balmy Alley has the greatest concentration of murals in the city. It is, in effect, an outdoor art gallery of public art. If you visit San Francisco, well worth checking out.
Though the tour is free, we did make a small donation to the Precita Eyes Mural Arts Association, which is a local, community-based organization that promotes art in the Mission.
