Description
Our cat Banjo sunning himself outside our house next to a lizard. An artificial lizard, to be sure, as the real ones around here don't pose so willingly beside creatures that chase them & often bite their tails off.
We have several fake lizards, as well as frogs & buddhas, scattered around here (I posted this photo of one last year). A little weird maybe, but pretty normal compared to the last owners of this property, who left bowling balls, dolls (barbies & such) & a life size plastic ET scattered about. I actually liked the ET, but the weather had left it badly damaged, with missing fingers & holes & cracks in it's body. The only thing left of it is the head & neck, which we installed on a post by our vegetable garden as a makeshift scarecrow. Unfortunately, the birds & other critters don't seem intimidated by the friendly alien at all...
Used the Photoshop poster edges filter on this photo. Please zoom for more detail.

Cute photo, and lol at the birds, I guess if you've seen one scarecrow you've seen them all.

Lovely cat and great textures in the timber but I would have been fooled with the lizard.

They both look quite content sitting there in the sun. I'm sure the lizard looks content in the rain and the snow as well! LOL! Great capture ... it makes me want to go outside and kick back. Unfortunately it snowed here last night, so that's out, but your picture is certainly inspiring! :)

A super capture and that filter really enhances it beautifully. I think Banjo knows its not a real lizard with that expression :)
