Description

Captured 3/21/12, at the semi beautiful El Dorado Nature Center in beautiful Long Beach, California. A ZOOM would be most beneficial. There was a slight wind that day, which generated currents of nice little ripples. Actually, this lake has no official name...I just call it Emerald Lake because of the green wraithlike reflections of the foliage surrounding it. I took tons of pics of the lake, of which this is just a small portion. The only living creatures inhabiting it that I could detect were turtles, ducks and geese, and those were very few. Ta-ta, thankx for coming aboard, and for any and all favs and NONcritical comments.

Lovely rich atmosphere captured here, Harry; I remember this lake from my high school days. Lots of people used to come and throw bread to the waterfowl. I don't imagine that's changed much in the 40 or so years that have passed since then!

A very beautiful place to wander around and I hope we see more of this lovely lake. The water looks great with that tiny ripple on it. An excellent capture.

Harry, I sincerely apologize for my earlier comments sounding so strange. This is a VERY amazing photo and I'm so glad you shared it with us. I use the speech to text feature on my I-phone and sometimes it adds words or phrases in when it doesn't understand.

It's another beautiful picture Harry, but no non-critical? How will we learn my friend.. There is nothing wrong with this at all, maybe a tad of leveling but its a very fine photograph indeed! Well done.. Don't worry about what people say mate, post for yourself.. It gives you pleasure and 99% of the time, it gives them pleasure as well.. Good one mate! rob

Very nice!!! and Rob I think it is level the water line of the lake makes it appear not to be but if you notice the palm trees they are straight.

A nice and relaxing ambiance around this lake, great for contemplating life as is ... and in regards to thanking us only for non-critical comments, I totally agree with 'debbielove' - about the water-level ... I for one, do appreciate the good with the bad comments, 'cause I know - none of us are perfect, therefore those who criticise us, are the honest ones, who bother taking a real good look and in return helping us to find a way, - so we can learn and improve, whatever the criteria ! I only mean well Harry, BB
