Description
Or a variation thereof.
Captured back on 10/26/08, at the 7th Annual Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo, held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
ZOOM for definitive details.
Not your everyday run-of-the-mill conveyance. Looks like some kind of insect from the front, and I love those back-massaging seats in the last photo. Plus, amidst that unusual interior sits the largest sombrero in the world.
I so wish this event was held on nice soft cool green grass.
Avtio, thankx for popping in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Sweet looking vehicle! That color pops out so much it reminds me of the animated movie, "Cars".

Wow! I love that tangerine colour; what a vast departure from what these cars looked like when new! Bet there's not much that's original left on it. What a beautiful toy it is. Excellent series of shots, Harry! Your love of these cars really shows.

Seems like this oldie has had a complete makeover into a Hot Rod....I really love the interior and the outside color of this one. I bet these cars would look even better on green grass.

Superb captures of this fabulous machine. It does look like an insect from front view and those seats in the back do look comfy. You should have borrowed the sombrero while you took the shots to keep you cool. I love the paint job too.

Super pics Harry. What would Henry Ford have said? Colors, details and sharpness really make this hotrod stand out...but then that's why they build them:)

yeah, I never thought about how hot it would be to have these on concrete, asphalt, or whatever they put the cars on. Grass would be nice...When this first went up, I too thought "an insect". An amazing car, and I never knew it even existed. Bill calls it a 'hot rod'---and how. I can't believe the grill, and you got real clarity in the shot including in the piece of engine sticking up. (What a sight! As a naive onlooker, I want to say: "Hey! Someone put that thing back!") The 2d angled shot shows us more of the engine part sticking up (explains it) and lets us see the real grace to this strange beast. (You've got some nice flare on the metal too.) The side & back shot shows us a much bigger view of its shape and sweep, with that marvelous sight of the engine being open for display (it really looks like innards!) And the 4th shot also gives us another Harry special: A photographer. I haven't been in every photographer's gallery on RR, but I have to assume you're one of the only ones who captures photographers---which I think is essential. And we see the broad back with that huge back wheel. You've let us see the whole thing by now. And finally that whacked-out interior---I can't believe they made chairs like that, back then. And that high enclosed interior. And yeah, I thought the same thing: That sombrero is for a reeeeeeeallllllly big head. Either that or someone who's got a major problem with sun. Terrific collection, and it's great that you let us see another amazing car in your gallery.

Another great collection of photos. This is real old school customization w/ what looks to be some modern touches. Not what you expect to see much of these days.
