Description
For Good Friday, April 6, 2012
"Populi meus, quid fecit tibi aut in quo contristavite? Responde mihi."
- the opening verse of the "Improperiae" (Reproaches) for Good Friday, in the Pontificale of Prudentius (846 - 861), sung in many churches on Good Friday.
Photo by me from Lund Cathedral’s Easter display. Everything is hand made by a member of the congregation, including the foam rocks! Talk of dedication and good, hard work!
The photo was taken while I held a finger over the flash, which was quite awkward. The cathedral had been darkened during the ending of the Maundy Thursday evening communion service. I therefore did NOT want to use the flash. The result is a lot more dramatic than photos I’ve taken at previous Easters, and turned out far better than I expected. The lighting of the display is also much more dramatic this year.
Enjoy!

outstanding low light capture. I doubt if a flash would have helped as the room is too large
