Description

I took this shot of Jordan and Barger in my backyard last summer. Today, Barger is sick, unable to walk, and we don't know how it will turn out. I'm surprised at my emotions; I've been in tears since Jordan called me with the news. These wonderful animals have way of moving into our lives and our hearts. Barger's nearly 13, has been with Jordan since he was 3 weeks old. I'm not ready to see him go and I know Jordan's not either. If there are dog angels out there, I hope they're with Barger and helping him thru this hard time.

Dogs have such happy-go-lucky expressions they always manage...usually with the tongue hanging out. And this is a wonderful double portrait! I love the easy, carefree feeling this has. It's a fantastic capture/tribute/memory and that's what really counts. Hopefully, there's good news after this, and no matter the outcome, there's this wonderful, nicely peaceful image.

She looks so much like my favorite 'Ladybug' did in her last days! I'm sure she has had a great life. All the best!

a really sweet image of your son & his dog. Very loving look on your son's face, and I can see you in him very clearly. And it's a loving capture of the bond between human & animal, as Barger looks so happy to be with Jordan. I hope that all goes well, Marilyn, that Barger is not in any pain, and that he gets better. But I hope he's in peace whatever happens. And I wish you & Jordan much peace with it as well...Pets are family, they're children, siblings & mates, and it's very hard when this happens. Many blessings to him and all of you. A beautiful portrait.

Oh No, not Barger! I hope it is as simple as a Deer Tick that is hiding and needs removing. He is such a good boy, I feel for you and you know I do!!!
