Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Dogs have such happy-go-lucky expressions they always manage...usually with the tongue hanging out. And this is a wonderful double portrait! I love the easy, carefree feeling this has. It's a fantastic capture/tribute/memory and that's what really counts. Hopefully, there's good news after this, and no matter the outcome, there's this wonderful, nicely peaceful image.

She looks so much like my favorite 'Ladybug' did in her last days! I'm sure she has had a great life. All the best!

a really sweet image of your son & his dog. Very loving look on your son's face, and I can see you in him very clearly. And it's a loving capture of the bond between human & animal, as Barger looks so happy to be with Jordan. I hope that all goes well, Marilyn, that Barger is not in any pain, and that he gets better. But I hope he's in peace whatever happens. And I wish you & Jordan much peace with it as well...Pets are family, they're children, siblings & mates, and it's very hard when this happens. Many blessings to him and all of you. A beautiful portrait.

Oh No, not Barger! I hope it is as simple as a Deer Tick that is hiding and needs removing. He is such a good boy, I feel for you and you know I do!!!
