"I gave no answer" - and that says so much! To us humans it appears, as if he has a perplexed look on his face - but in bird language it might mean - 'I don't like being locked up, give me back my freedom' - but then again that is human interpretation. So where do you start? Fine portrait Nikolay, BB

My mind wanders off in strange directions at times, and I look at this image and I'm reminded of the inspiration for a Muppet character. Birds tend to do that, especially when seen face-on! I think it's the mouth, which like a reptile's mouth, extends back behind the eyes, giving it a "grinning" or a "perplexed" expression. And to top it off, this is a gorgeous shot. I don't think I'd have an answer to the obviously profound existential question posed by this feathered person, either. But then, I also think that maybe this avian person is making a declaration. One never knows! This is so brilliant!
