Description
That's what you get for hitting on my woman!
Captured 4/5/12, at the semi beautiful El Dorado Nature Center in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Long distance shot taken from a bridge above Lake Emerald, and ZOOM worthy.
With their normal stoic behavior, it was hard to believe there was any dissension among these peaceful amphibians.
Toodles, thankx for the peek, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

in zoom we get to see the full coloration of the turtles, and you know, sometimes those colorations seem almost like war paint. So it's not a total surprise that they'd spar once in awhile. It's just, their "sparring" is so slow by human standards, they almost appear to be doing a slow motion martial arts demonstration, or even yoga. Beautiful capture of all their lines & patterns. And up close they really do look primal in your capture. Fine work, harry, and I like your description & title. It almost looks like the ground-based turtle is a decoy for the climbing one---who's using the other guy for protection as he checks out the incoming enemy...
