Nice capture - I can imagine this animated & set to music. I also like your description of the nature center - "semi beautiful" - I could apply this to lots of places I've been...

Love the way they always like to perch on one another.

I guess turtles have a different idea about "personal space" than humans do; they always seem to like to pile up on each other. Excellent detail in this capture, Harry, and wonderful on zoom; I remember reading somewhere how to tell the males and females apart, and I seem to recall something about their claws, but I can't for the life of me pull the info from the depths of my brain.

a great capture of the formations these beasts get into (which DO look like conga lines!), and of their slow footing, and their beautiful colorations. A big burst of orange in one, and those facial lines seem like either war paint or long single-strand beards, indicating venerable status. (Maybe they're zen masters.) The reflection in the water, on the left, is sterling & a nice contrast to their slow clunky bulk. Another delightful turtle capture from you, and I admire you for having the patience to wait while these creatures start their long slow processions...

What a super capture of these great little critters. Excellent reflections there too and I love how their colours stand out and catch the eye. A great title.
