Description

Greetings To One and All!... "Please take the time to read" It is with a deep sigh and sad heart that once again it is that time of year when I take my ritual vacation from being apart of the galleries and my second home here at Renderosity as Spring is once again dictating the pace and yelling ever so loudly for me to get busy with my 1st commitment and that's getting started on my outdoor work and garden prepping.... As in the past those that know me know I usually take time away(usually May until September)when outdoor activities get me out and I become more active with the daily rituals of real life and the fact I'm cooped up all winter in the house and not very mobile waiting for the warmer days so I can be. Though I won't be away totally I won't be here nearly as often and trying to juggle both are impossible to say the least as you all upload so much art in any given day that just missing a day here sets you back hours and you all know I'm a stickler on not liking to fall behind in comments and spend hours catching up when I do fall behind....(just who I am and the way I roll...lol)...But unfortunately even being away a day is to long from my second home and all of my friends that I have made along the way and the next 4 months are going to be rough not being able to see you all and share in thoughts and art... But like I said I surely can't do both and would not be fair to hand pick friends and art and not comment on all so I will take this time away and do my real life stuff and promise to pop in on occasion when time permits to let you all know I'm still alive and well...I also will take this time away to work on my Bryce/Apophysis skills and my new addition to my arsenal and that be Daz Studio 4...Yes I finally decided to try and learn it so I can finally add some characters of my own design to my scenes...I call it an Upgrade so to speak...lol...Always room to learn something new right?...From what I've seen and read and looked over with this Daz Studio I believe with all my heart it's my next obsession in the makings.....rofl.. So anyway... So with today I present you with the latest from the Small Town Series entitled "Outdoor Theater" as I wind down to Friday's final installment from the Fractal Factory until my return in September. I'm really going to miss being apart of this community for the next 4 months but one must do what one must do...I will miss you all dearly and hope those that have stuck with me will once again be there waiting for me when upon my return.....From now until then I have a few "dedications" to create and will only post those when time permits me to do so during this time away. So I will see you this Wednesday still and of course Friday and then I have to get going on my Honey-Do List.....(smiles).. ~Will~ Above was created in Bryce Pro 7 Various Cars Water Tower from dmi-3d.net and archive3d.net Tree are from tree lab Outdoor Screen/Speakers/Drive Inn Sign are all of my creation from using various shapes and presets and textures in Bryce Hope this latest step back in time triggers memories as all I create here is designed to do just that...(smiles)...

I remember these.... Ooops... But the cars weren't quite that old when I went. 70's I also remember a place in Missouri where you had to tune your radio in to get the sound. And the signal didn't make it out of the drive~in either. Have a wonderful summer my friend. You just got all hooked up for the internet, and now you must go.

There is a drive-in theater just down the road from me. I think it is one of the very few remaining ones. Haven't been to one in years......think they were the most fun when I was a teenager and could "fog up the windows" LOL Thanks for the memories. Have a great summer. Lyla

Super render and atmosphere! Great setup and so nostalgic. I think the last drive in theater in my state was torn down about 15 or so years ago. Awesome work. Hopefully you'll find time to pursue your passion for art during the summer season. No need to go cold turkey ;) Enjoy the warmer days ahead and hopefully pop in once in a while. Thanks for sharing and offering insightful comments.

Very nice drive-in theater render =) I remember seeing Star Wars IV: A New Hope at a drive-in with my family. Fond memories indeed~ So sorry to hear you will be away so long, but hope you will thoroughly enjoy your gardening. I read your tutorial, by the way, on making a path in Bryce~ I managed to get something of a path going on LoL so thank you for that, I appreciate it~ Take care & see you in the Autumn!

SUPERB work, KW/WILL! (PLANT some WACKY weed for GRUMPY old TallPockets!) WINK! In his 'youth', T.P. drove his car to the local Drive In and got there EARLY! .... When a car drove up NEXT to his car, if it did NOT have "LADIES" in it, T.P. softly shouted out that, "THAT SPEAKER IS BROKEN!" and they MOVED to another spot .... LATHER, RINSE, REPEAT until "WoooHOOOO!" (And they said T.P. was DUMB!?) WINK! My BEST to you and yours, KW/WILL! .... HUG EM' & LUV 'EM .... (and WEED Em!) GRINS. TallPockets/brian.

I love your outdoor theatre with its super atmosphere and great cars and trucks. Excellent work and I will really miss your postings but know what you mean about doing both the outside chores and trying to compute too, as I don't seem to be able to do both either. I will look forward to your return and I hope you enjoy your summer.
