Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nice lighting & composition - this is a beautiful time of day but not that easy to capture in a photo. My son had his wedding ceremony at Donner Lake, so this brings back some nice memories...

What a beautiful view! Such a pity to be stuck up in the mountains, living on a lake. LOL! We're right on the beach at La Push this week. Ahhhhhhhhh ... :)

another of your beautiful water shots. The light is peach & gold & yellow, it's clearly late day, and it's intense and recessive all at once. Beautiful intensity above the mountains and on the water. And surrounded by a deep bluish intensity. And is that 'snow' on those mountains? Even in early may? I know in those climes, things can stay cold for a while, but I had to ask since we haven't seen snow around here since February. You're such a natural with water, you practically can get these shots in your sleep. Magical work...And as I've said before, I'm very happy Barger came through such a terrible crisis. I hope he's ok for a long time to come.
