Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I see a ship and it has lights shining on the inside and so the light from the inside is coming through the portholes. Maybe it's people in the rooms, listening to music, reading magazines, hoping that there are no icebergs around, being romantic, or maybe even trying not to be seasick. It's a good ship, though; she's got a good set of rudders and the best crew of riggers around. Yeah...I like this. I think the whole nautical thing just came from the fact that I can see a ship's prow, and well...I did like I always do and just ran off on a tangent. I'm kinda good at that. I love the angle of this and the treatment, especially with the natural earth tones and the light/shadow play. Super composition.
