Description

Is it live, or is it Memorex? Captured back on 7/26/09, in the beautiful Cerritos Towne Center located in beautiful Cerritos, California. Genuinely ZOOM worthy. Just one of several glass structures in the complex, evoking a masculinelike presence with its sharp angles and abutments. Toodles, thankx for the look-see, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

splendid architectural work, Harry, you've captured an almost 'sheer' quality to the surfaces that make this almost look like a 3D render. It's bold & straight forward. And your shot choices bring out the monumentality of this strange beauty as well as the odd 'toylike' feeling of its design. The last two give us the angled & intersected view that architects want us to see: Love the flare, and all the interchanges of form & angle, etc. A very full collage of a most unusual structure; and the shot of the parking lot roots us back in the city---because that facade almost looks like it was built in Hollywood, by an art deco designer. It's such a playful facade! Really fine work, Harry, fine interactions with architecture. Terrific choices in this 'pentatych'. (I made that word up, in case anyone's running to their dictionaries! I think it stops at "triptych". Well, I upped it by two...)

Lots of lines and angles in this impressive building, all caught well in your collage.
