A very sweet depiction and beautifully rendered as always. I love the little girl's smile. She seems genuinely flattered by her young suitor. I'm not certain either of them knows what to do next though. Then I spotted the names on the card, I think they are a couple of legendary importance in North Africa - though i will admit I may be translating the story incorrectly. I think this is a tale of love bridging two cultures and uniting a land - though I may be wrong about that. Perhaps these two are their modern surrogates.

L'instant volé des premiers émois (l'expression de la fillette est criante de vérité), excellent mélange où l'instantané photographique rejoint la peinture. Une belle composition où la richesse des bleus vient complémenter celle des ocres et où les motifs traditionnels du vêtement de la petite fille et de la jarre s'opposent à la modernité du vêtement du garçon.Un magnifique travail, comme toujours !!

Un grand contraste entre le vêtement moderne du garçon, prêt pour la vie active, et la tenue traditionnelle de la fille, dont le destin est de se marier! Elle est heureuse, mais le sera-t'elle longtemps ?

Une image illuminée le sourire de la petite fille, mais qui contient aussi la diversité des rôles : la fille porte une robe dans la tradition, et le garçon est habillé moderne occidentalisé. Les couleurs sont absolument superbes!
