I had no photos to offer of Bournemouth, heaths, the moors, dark dank forests, bizarre lichens and fungi, elderly rest home residents, dogs, insects, portraits of day laborers, psychedelic lion sculptures, beaches, beach huts, perfume bottles, indoor flower arrangements, lush vast gardens, kitchen and estate renovations, doodles, cyclemen, and the other subject matter so near and dear to Andrea's heart, so I came up with these in their stead.

What a great collection of "favourites" for Andrea, and the locks even have a bit of leftover ribbon them...somehow my birthday reminder list got buried behind other stuff, so I missed this day. Happy birthday, Andrea!

love your description of Andrea's art. Exhaustive! You covered it all in one paragraph. Your offerings are truly Andrea-like, only with your own touch. (Which is after all what makes a dedi perfect---the meeting of two artists, which is what we have here.) A big funky old padlock, with a ribbon around it (Denise got me to see that) as if the ribbon were there for A's bday. And all the grit and tactile beauty of your other padlock captures. A jazzy, snazzy headlight, love the angle and sweep---we gotta remember this is from our foremost photographer of great cars. One could see that in A's gallery! A big billowing fungus---fine shot in its own right, which btw gives a big burst of 'white' as the centerpiece to this montage. Then a sewer cover, ala LA---although it says "Tel Co," which leads me to believe that it covers an electrical bank of some kind. And it reminds me of your other sewer-cover montages with all the lights & textures you captured in them. And finally a shop window, with fine contrasts on the torso, with the bikini with stark black and leopard spots, next to those deep red roses (or some red flower). The window could be in S. England too. It's a great collection for Andrea, you summed up her variety in your paragraph and your montage, and made a wonderfully playful montage too. Terrific. Glad your viewers agree. A great way to do a dedi.
