Description
Having more fun than an earthling is permitted to have.
Captured 11/19/10, early AM, from somewhere in the general neighborhood.
Don't bother to ZOOM. It comes out the same size.
Some more digifiddled beauties to add to my initial posting of June 9, 2012.
And, sorry, no original here. The flower was past its prime and so decrepit and full of blemishes that I didn't have the incentive to post it in this collage. But it still had its good basic parts, so I drastically resurrected the bloom in order to bring it back to some form of beauty, which called for extensive postwork in this case.
So long for a while, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Sweet collage Harry and I like the "fire" in the center version. Some lovely postwork all around!

Lots' of choices here, but the first one remains my favorite. I love the slightly blurry watercolor look.

ok, more of that poor blemished rose, resurrected. (We should send it copies of your 2 pieces, so it can feel better about itself.) Yes, it's fun to keep varying the same subject; and it gets us into the subject again and again. Love all your variations. The top one reminds me of the bottom one of the last set---only you've 'hardened' it and given it stronger outline. The next has that analytical look of good edge filtering (or equivalent---acknowledging that it can be achieved through many paths); and I like the background too, as it breaks up into those wonderful shapes that this treatment allows. The third is the perfect centerpiece for the montage, acknowledging your montage sensibilities once more; because it's on fire (dana) and with those strange orange-green hues, as out of a horror flick...Then you go straight to newsprint, those old halftone dots, nice contrast to the previous "flower from hell". And you end with a grained version that preserves the original beauty of the flower. I can see you had fun with all this, it's a wonderful collection: And I still can't get over that this comes from a blemished rose. You turned it into a beautiful bloom. A creative, fun and beautiful montage. The original has to be smiling, somewhere...
