Description

Greetings to One and All! We interrupt this program to bring you a word from our sponsors..lol... Today's installment is something I have been working with for awhile and finally finished. This is a 1962(my birth year)Ford Econo Pro Stock modified for drag strip racing.Yes for those unfamiliar with this particular rare vehicle the motor "is" behind the cab located in the bed of the truck.Back in the day when I used to participate with a few buddies on weekends at our local drag strip this rare Ford was a focal point of the weekend when they decided to come and take all our money because they usually ran the quarter mile in the low 8's...That's 8 seconds in a quarter mile or how long it took to get from the starting line to the finish line for those that didn't know.... With the motor located where it is it gave this Pro Stock an advantage because the weight helped to keep it glued to the track...The wheelie bars kept it from flip'n over and on more than several occasions over the years they had there share of close calls but never wrecked..Though( I don't wish bad things upon anyone) we wish they would of because we then stood a chance of at least winning from time to time....lol.. So without further ado.... I happened to find this model while surfing the net and couldn't wait to get busy adding my own modifications/customizations and presenting this then for your viewing pleasure. So for those who like this kind of art I hope you like the results...(smiles).. ~Will~ Created/Customized and Modified in Bryce Pro 7 by yours truly... Minimal post work using Photoshop Elements 8 1962 Ford Econo is from dmi-3d.net Thanks for you continued support of what I do and for all your kind comments and encouragement... See you Friday with another from the Fractal Factory.

Fantastic work modeling this cool truck! I've only seen one of them once when I was a kid, but it was hauling surfboards. :)

Excellent chop job and nice additions. Great work on the paint and detailing. Perhaps it will show up at the dragstrip again in another hometown image edition. Awesome work.

very cool paint job or should I say texturing. it's absolutely amazing how much better the truck looks with the fat wheels as apposed to the little skinny stock wheels.

class modeling and very realistic. I would of liked one of these, but they were not safe.I had a VW Bus in 1970 and I got amongst a rear end collision knocking me into another vehicle.luckily for me speed was not involved
