Description
Captured 6/13/12, early in the AM, within pedestrian distance of my hackneyed habitat.
Well worth a ZOOM.
In the bottom picture, are those the flowers before or after they bloom? I may be wrong, but I think they are buds before unfurling their corollas.
Bye bye, thankx for the peek, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Spectacular captures, colors and textures. Reminds me of scenes from "AVATAR"

The bottom picture is actually of them as they wilt and die, but none the less lovely for that

durleybeachbum: I didn't know they died in such a neat, precise and orderly fashion.

Superb capture and collage.

I love morning glories. They always seem to have a light inside them, so pretty.

wonderful looking

Stunning set of before and after shots, Harry; yes, the inward furl is their death march, they're more like umbrellas before they open. Beautifully captured!

I would love to see a flower unfurl upward like that, but alas, it is after bloom. Blue Morning Glories are my favorites. Love the top capture.

quite beautiful, the top flowers are so flush-forward and bold, and they almost look like fabric (denim, almost) from your detail and light. Nice diagonal pairing too Yyou do this kind of composition with real ease, and it works every time. And the bottom one---I've never seen that in-curling before; or if I have, I don't remember. A very bold capture of this "dying" specie. (I didn't know about the dying part either.) In your capture, they're like glass or fine plastic, and the one facing us seems to be telling us something. Two bold powerful shots---zoom is essential!---and beautiful to boot. I'd have never known they were expiring till I read the comments...More beautiful flower-work from you.

I live morning glories Harry – the glowing centers amaze me – both photos are excellent as are the colors. I agree, with you, that they are blooming.
