Description

This is the way it looked moments before visibility went to zero - luckily only for a few seconds, but twice. The windshield wipers were going full blast. Southbound on State Route 77 between Oracle Junction and Catalina, north of Tucson, Arizona. Temperature 63F. This was the rain in the system that caused the sandstorm that hit Phoenix about three hours later. I had planned to post some aircraft pictures I had taken while at Reading, Pennsylvania for the annual World War II reenactment, but that has got to wait. I never thought that I would get that excited about rain when I lived in Germany, Canada, on the East Coast or in Washington.
