Description
Greetings to one and All!
It's Wednesday and here is something new for all you auto enthusiasts that may remember an ole 1971 Commander Cody Song that goes something like this..
My pappy said, "Son, you're gonna' drive me to drinkin'
If you don't stop drivin' that
Hot...
Rod...
Lincoln...
It's got eight cylinders; uses them all.
It's got overdrive, just won't stall.
With a 4-barrel carb and a dual exhaust,
With 4.11 gears you can really get lost.
It's got safety tubes, but I ain't scared.
The brakes are good, tires fair.
Now all of a sudden she started to knockin',
And down in the dips she started to rockin'.
I looked in my mirror; a red light was blinkin'
The cops was after my Hot Rod Lincoln!
Recently while listening to 70's music on Sirius Radio this Ole' song came on which got my muse riled and all these light bulbs went off and my imagination began seeing this image...So the only thing I needed to complete this was to go through my folders and see if by chance I happened to have a Lincoln in my arsenal that I had not yet got around to modifying/customizing and sure enough there one was..So the above scene and customization came into being as I did some research on this particular 1956 Lincoln to make sure I kept it as close to original as possible but also add my 2 cents so to speak and make it my own.
Reason it's in 2 parts(collage)is that I thought maybe some here would like to see the model by itself and then used in an action sequence.Basically 2 for the price of one..(smiles)...
So without further ado....
I present this one appropriately titled "Hot Rod Lincoln" for your viewing pleasure...(smiles)..

Great work! The lighting in this bottom scene is extraordinary! You couldn't have nailed the red cop light any better. And your presentation is always so friggin' perfect! I love that. Excellent scene! PS ... While zoomed, I just closed the wrong damn window and had to type everything again. LOL! Usually? I do that about five times a day. Heh heh heh. :)

I read recently that the "hot rod Lincoln" that he actually had was a Lincoln chassis that had been shortened to allow a Model T body placed on it superbly modeled and exciting render

I think the original artist was Johnny Bond (IIRC) and it was done back in the 50's, my folks had it on a 45RPM record and I loved listening to it as a kid. Really like how you've done the bottom pic, great sense of the chase. Nice work. "telephone poles looked like a picket fence"

Looks like the car my wife was driving back in '71. Fantastic image, love the designs back then, now the compacts all look the same. Back then when you saw a Caddie you damn well knew what it was. They were mobile works of art. Excellent. my friend!!!!!
