Description

Here comes another one! In case you are wondering what? - another Gemini! - A very ~*HAPPY BIRTHDAY*~ wish goes to Carin, from the land of OZ, from your future (here it is already the 21st!) ... but don't let that stop you Carin, you can always start earlier to celebrate - it's half the fun ;) and the other half tomorrow! LOL *** It was a very late afternoon walk on North-Kirra Beach, Gold Coast, when I noticed these cute little birds pecking and chasing, darting on twinkling legs up the beach, as each wave breaks. I mean, they were very little and very fast - luckily I had my trusty little ol' Fuji and 'I just had to have them' ... Even though we are having our Winter now - this is not snow! I am very proud to say, it's our pristine white beaches with beautiful soft sand - but very hard to wash out, because it's so fine. Small price to pay for such luxury ... Anyway this is my present for you Carin and I do hope you'll like it! Cheers Brigitte (BTW I will always be reminded here, of that fabulous movie: 'The Sandpiper' with Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor)

What a delight this series makes, and so well captured as so lovely for our friend, Carin! I sure know she will love all the details of it. Such great light and shadow-play, and so many great textures are to admire here! Take care, dear Brigitte, thumb up.

Well, considering that yesterday marked the first day of winter down your way, I could have sworn that was snow in this stellar collage, BB. Lots of cool focus, lighting and textural effects in this presentation. And, I mustn't forget......Happy Birthday, Carin/Dierbaar!

Well, I could tell when I saw the top photo, but from the thumb, I did wonder why the sandpiper was nesting in the snow! Good catch with the camera...I know they are fast...I've never caught one.
