You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

I'm not brave enough to tackle anything remotely like that!! Happy birthday Priska.

Actually, the pounding waves look like they are taking out Surfers in one foul swoop, which could be a good thing...right BB ? LOL Neat effect and Birthday greetings for your friend...Happy Birthday Priska ! ~Cheers~

I love what you've done with this image! Very much like a poster, yet still clear as to the subject. It's got huge impact, even with a limited range of colors. Really outstanding work! Happy Birthday, Priksa! :)

Fantastic effect! Those waves are killers. I'm not sure I'd want to surf in that weather. :) Fun b-day card creative and beautiful.

really cool shot and dedi.... reminds me... I haven't surfed in years, last time was in Tofino B.C. (look it up when you get the chance), big difference is that when you surf off Kirra, you can do it in the nude if you have a hankerin'... Tofino, north Pacific ocean... you really need a drysuit and get bundled up... campfire on the beach... wine and sake.....

What a unique and very cool presentation. I haven't been at Rendo much lately and am trying to get back into the swing of things. This caught my eye. Our summer is over today. This must be your first day of Spring...great time of the year!

the shot itself is imposing, with the waves in front of that imposing skyline. But your treatment turns the waves into a big wall, most impressive. They're almost like a squall line, or a line of huge smoke billows, as if there were major industry there, or a big fire. You've layered the image into "strata," ending in the grayed out sky. And you've given texture to the sky with your edge work, like two darker clouds encroaching on the city. This is very fine postwork, and a sight I don't think we have in the States. Really fine work. (Happy birthday priska---I'm only 2 and half years late!)
