Description
I believe that this photo can give an idea of the hot days around the summer solstice here in Padova. The heat wave nicknamed Scipio the African is weakening its grip on northern Italy, and a wave of bad weather, with minor tornados and hail hit the west, destroying some of Piedmont vineyards. Today, we are waiting for it in Veneto, hoping it won't destroy our vineyards, the peach trees and our crops of maize and wheat.
Anyway, this photo was taken in Patrick's property; the cat is the female of a pair of twins. The rose and the other plants hide partially a concrete post carrying electricity to Patrick's house. Milena, Patrick's wife, dubbed the colors of this image 'lisergic', an adjective I concur on, and chose it for her desktop screen.

It appears to be a very pleasant setting, perhaps an oasis from the heat? You are welcome to send a little of your hot weather this way. Here in Eugene, Oregon, USA, we have had very few days this season that could actually be called "summer days." Today is yet another overcast day with rain threatening. Very nice photo, Sandra! And here's hoping that the storms leave your area's vineyards intact.
