Description
Another contrast of textures: the velvety petals of a rose and the old, rusty fence of building. Actually, this is the small flowerbed in the parking of the Provincial School Departement, where stuffy, frustrated people usually work, coming from the ranks of teachers too worn-out to stay in a classroom. As a former teacher I know what I'm speaking about! I usually stayed as far as possible from it, but it is almost in front of my favourite pastry shop, so what could I do? I took a shot of the prisoner rose.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Definitely a mania for the rose lovers! I really like the fresh, crisp effect of this refreshing look of the rose! Stunning colours that are so vibrant and invigorating! Wonderful artwork!

The rusty ole fence wire makes for a nice frame against the rose. Aloha

Beautiful color and it does look like a prisoner behind the rusty old fence!

Hey, I'm a stuffy bureaucratic guy. We're not all bad. Except for the stuffiness and a propensity to love rules too much. And set amongst the gangrenous appendages of the human condition, you find this little beauty. You have quite an eye. And indeed, I was taken by the sharp contrast between silky rose and its vibrant colour against the rusty ruddy fence which supports it.

it's wonderful how you find these captures, here finding it in a place you just couldn't avoid. It affirms the adage that the 'picture' is where you look for it, not waiting in some special space that one has to find...Another of your saturated face-forward beauties in this series, and yes, in beautiful contrast to the old rusted fence links. And there are nice white accents on the petals, and the background is perfect as a 'backdrop' to the roses. This series is soaked in summery hues, and it makes the roses feel as if they're exploding in front of our eyes. Beautiful.
