Description

Wanda Jackson was born in Oklahoma in 1937 - she briefly dated Elvis whilst touring with him and wore a ring of his around her neck on a chain - I know this because she told us! A fantastic lady who still rocks at 74. She sang a great set and had the crowd with her all the way. Brilliant!

After graduating from high school, Jackson began to tour with her father as manager and chaperon. She often shared the bill with Elvis Presley, who encouraged Jackson to sing rockabilly I barely recall the name but do know where Maud, OK is the place of her birth outstanding low light capture
