My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Hehe!!! I have seen these critters at the Johannesburg Zoo! They are too funny. Even the expression on their faces look a bit goofy! I love this Hun!

My lover of 15 years once remarked that of all the ladies he had known I was the one most like a camel in the face.

I always think their nostrils are so interesting. Great capture; is he wondering where the sand dunes went?

Well, Jayfar (Jeff), has to us the real name.. There are only two species of Camel but many sub-species... Great shot Tara, looks good (if a little warm) in the sun lol Rob

Really funny pose :)))

I've heard riding on their backs is a real trip, especially the part where they get up after you mount. Their back legs go up first and you're likely to do a header if you're not prepaired for it. Although I suppose if you're riding a two humped variety it might not be quite so unsaddling. Neat shot of this charming fellow : )

Lovely capture, Andrea's comments made me chuckle :o)
