Greetings and Happy 4th to those that Celebrate! Unfortunately what seems to be the going trend this year is that a lot of folks will not or can not because of this gripping heat wave that has encompassed the lower 48 and has been wreaking havoc from the West coast to the East and everywhere in between for the better part of this summer so far and with little or no relief in site unfortunately. I'm sure for some things are better or worst depending how long and where your location is and I share your concerns and misery.As I'm typing this it's 103 in the shade with heat index of 109 with almost an astounding 71% dew point and 100% humidity...Bluck Bluck and Double Bluck!....lol.. So enough of that gloom and despair and lets move on shall we... Here's one from my Silhouette folder I decided to share since i haven't done one in awhile and wanted to see how my new way of lighting worked on this first experimental trial image... I was shooting for a "painting" type final effect.. I myself am my own worst critique at times and would like to know what "you" folks think....Personally I liked the final color blending I decided to go with here...but like I said that's just me...(smiles).. Being that It's the 4th of July I decided to entitle this "Where Eagles Fly" as my Holiday Image choice for your viewing pleasure! ~Will~ Have A Happy and Safe 4th for those that Celebrate! Only Fireworks going off here today are the ones that happen later this evening in the privacy of my bedroom.....rofl!.. Created in Bryce Pro 7 and Photoshop Elements 8

I get to watch the fireworks from the marine base every year. You can see them, barely, from my front porch. The 29 Palms base sits lower down the mountain from my house. 103* is not hot here in the desert, but the humidity would kick my a**. Used to 3% or so. Having thunderstorms & rain today & the humidity is still only around 34%. Which makes for some crazy lightning shows. I love this piece. You did a crackerjack job. The lighting is super. Its just a really cool piece. Though I'm thinking black light poster over painting. ")

dang nab! what a breathtaking and dreamy image Will, the colors just burst out.. 8++, that heat is everywhere it seems like. no fireworks in colorado this year due to the dryness and fires.. happy 4th my friend..

Love it, fantastic work Will! Though when I read your title...Sammy Hagar came to mind...Where Eagles Fly hahaha I think the edges give it a nice judgment of distance personally. Lucky you, private fireworks sigh hahaha I have had a busy day while everyone else has taken it off...but hey I like it that way.

Happy 4th to you Will. Sorry you've got so much humidity - ack!! That has got to be miserable. As for you image, I love these colors! They work wonderfully well together and it's a fantastic pic for the day. I'm with Angel, this would make a great black light poster. Hope things cool down for you. We had about 3 weeks straight of 100+ temps and humidity here in CO. Now we're hanging in the 90's.

I feel you pain with the heat and all. It's eased a bit but it was 110° pretty routinely last week. So dry the Authorities won't let us blow anything up. Awesome Image Though! 5****

The heat is on! Right now, in Central Massachusetts, BBq's are winding down and folks are getting ready for the Fireworks later. Most are heading to the Carnival in the center of town. Life here hasn't changed much, just a few more modern additions. After Ten in the evening the only sounds you hear are the river critters. It is beyond quiet. Another Fourth come and gone, and everything goes back as it was. Kind of a rapidly vanishing way of life. Didn't intend to ramble like this but your outstanding image evoked a mood of nostalgia. Superb work on this one, Will, really stands on its own. Sheer excellence!!!!!
