Description

I was sorely tempted to add some flak bursts to this, but...... I was thrilled when I saw this 'out of the camera', one of my best aerial shots ever IMO. Not a hard subject to shoot (today or in 1943) after the fighters whizzing about, like demented wasps, 'Sally B' seemed to amble across the sky.Fighters are great but a bomber is a sight to behold, an awsome presence...... Duxford Flying Legends 2012.

Amazing the amount of detail you got from a distance on this shot Neil. I've not seen many pictures of a B17 with it's doors open. Maybe you should give it the B/W treatment and add flack, i'd love to see that!

Eeee, gads! The bomb bay is open! Is that a "Fat Boy" I saw fall out of it a second ago? Hello, Duxford? Neil? Do you still read me? ...... (dead silence). Just WHAT has happened at Duxford? GREAT shot! A B-17 with bomb bay doors open! I don't think I've ever seen that, either on the ground or in flight! The left one looked so odd (due to the shadow) I had to look close to see what it was. Keep 'em comin'! :-)
