Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

A lovely photo with stunning clarity and color, but being nonreligious, I won't comment on the subject matter, Jodie.

The amazing thing about this capture is that it's both restful and beautiful, but also very solitary. Whether to a believer or not, the crucifixion, for all its crowds, was a supremely solitary event, where even light was abandoned to a lonely distant hill. And in the midst of this peaceful shot, you captured that solitary feeling as well, the crosses standing alone atop a road that seems to wind to nowhere even though it leads to the hill. Then, in an act of love, you've canopied the 3 crosses with tree-eaves which seem to envelop it all in a soft embrace. A fine piece of work pictorially and in terms of the theme you were capturing. Another fine capture from your home-area...My wishes to you all for a radiant fall, Jodie. Hope it's a beautiful one!
