Description
The co-opting of all the worlds government by the Mega-Corporations had finally been realized. It all started so many years ago. The scheme was subtile and insideous beyond belief. First bring terror to them with a strike to the heart of the Nation, the next step was to use fear as a way of tearing away freedoms and rights from the citizens.. then, some sort of national crisis, a financial collapse that would tear the center out of the middle class....and of course one shouldn't forget the "dumbing down" of the citizens by feeding them lies and diluting history, taking away funds to run the public schools.... thereby gaining more and more control until finally they had it all. The proletariates had become no more than "feeders" who had to be eradicated before they gobbled up all the resources that were left... Now those who were left found themselves starving and reduced to hiding wherever they could find shelter, all while the private police hunted them down to be re-located to "iso-units" until they died....
And so, here we find Sally. Her mother had slipped out in the early hours of the morning to search for whatever food she might find... "stay in the shadows and don't make a noise until I get back", her mother had warned her before she left... Now many hours later the young girl wanders the boiler room of the ancient hotel, alone and frightened, wondering what she should do... and where was mom?

Brilliant work, my friend! And I hope people take what you uploaded and what Angel said and let it ring in their brains as their wake-up call. Because if you're not prepared to take care of yourself and be self-sufficient you are doomed -- even in the event of a natural disaster such as Katrina where people died in the streets of a major American city because the half-assed, jackass authorities couldn't even coordinate to deliver water to them. I wish we had a pin feature where the uploads of the day could be prominently displayed at the top of the gallery. You deserve it for this stark, startling, enlightening work, buddy.

I like the way you start your story at the 'worlwide' level to end in the boiler room of an ancient hotel ! Excellent ! Your image is great, delciously scary, and a wonderful pretext for your story. Very cleverly done !

Excellent depiction of a sad and depressing scenario. It's certainly not far from the truth of what many of the top 5% want, but we still have some say in the matter...for now. Excellent render and nice work on her face.
