good evening or morning to you all... i mentioned seeing these before and i happen to catch them again. it may be a bit out of focus. i still think it an awesome image...anyone superstitious??? Seeing a single crow is very unlucky. But 2 mean good luck! 3 means health, 4 means wealth, 5 is sickness & 6 mean death!!! think i should start making arrangements...cleansing with fire for me... :) hope you have a wonderful day/evening... ***chills and thrills***

Crows are such wonderful birds! Did you know that you can actually train them to talk, but the're rather like cats...they don't really respond well to their pets training them. Some corvids (rather like parrots) have the ability to nearly mimic sounds they commonly hear, but are less inclined to do so, though corvid sounds are far richer and more complex than the "caw-caw-caw" noises associated with them. They're known to make rather amusing "chortling" noises when communicating with other crew people at very, very close range...and they love dropping things on your head when you're sitting in a tree under them. (I wonder if it was really a crow, dropping that apple onto Isaac Newton's head. Knowing crows, it probably was.) I could go on and on about crows, as they're among my favorite birds; I could also relate odd (and true) stories about the crow's ability to engage in such activities as "synchronized pooping" (on one particular car) but I'll refrain from that. As for this image, I love it. I like the starkness of the dead tree, but dead is such a relative term. It's so much a part of the environment surrounding it, and it's a convenient perch for those people who always look do darn elegant in those all-black feathers. It's good to see that even in the avian world, "basic black" goes a long way in terms of elegant, sartorial expression! I like the softer background and the rich, green color, and I find it amusing that when I first saw this image, the crows made me think of music notes on their cigarette break, just hanging out before returning to whatever musical score they were a part of.

wow no i did a little research and found that they are intelligent birds but wasn't aware they could be trained to speak. i did find some people have them for pets. also meant to mention this is one of my all time favourite bands...'the black crowes'... :) lol and maybe i'll be talking to some angels... :)

Wasn't aware of this superstition. In my culture crows or ravines are messengers between the gods and mortals. Always a sign that a word from the spirits is being passed on. Lovely shot for me.
