Description

26 Of 51-We have reached the halfway point of this series and I hope all who have viewed these rides have enjoyed them, but now to continue on for the start of the "60s" models I've picket this 1960 Chevrolet Impala custom 2dr. Hardtop for you to view. Very awesome in red and a very sharp ride here. The thing that puzzles me about GM was the fact in 1958 they made a fine style car in the "58" Chevrolet but for "59" & "60" GM completely changed the style to a completely different ride. I could never figure out why because today the "58" Chevy classic is much more popular than the "59" or "60" models. Why did GM change the body style in "58" after only one year on the road. Maybe someone out there can tell me. At any rate I hope you like this ride I've posted, and have a nice day. Next- 1961 model year.

It was a sign of the times. Almost all American cars were large and in charge...then sputnik happened...it took the flare out of our fins. Then the real race was on...to the moon Alice!

the 60 Chevy is another car that I did not care for back when, but now they look better to me. my brother bought a brand new 59 Impala in 59. I really like the style but looking back the fins were a bit too much.again I like them now superb capture Stan

It's the same thing Ford did to Thunderbirds. My Dad had a 68 T-bird, it was larger than the older ones but still very cool. Then they hired some guy from GM and he completely ruined the front end. Cool shot.
