Description
Unlike the fancy lodges, our tented camps were located inside the game parks. I must admit, they were quite comfortable. With zippered fronts and canvas floors, they kept all the little critters away from us at night. And the cots we slept on had real mattress springs and were among the most comfortable beds I have encountered in all my travels. And, yes, that is our noble steed the Ark.

This photo puts me right there with you on this adventure! Sprung mattress, eh?! What luxury!

I had a tent with a three-way zipper at the front that connected to the floor too. Excellent for keeping crawling things on the outside! Great shot! I do not recognize the vehicle type but it looks up to the job.

this looks cosy, and right in there amongst the action, my envy knows no bounds

That tent looks like just the thing! With innumerable bites on my arms and legs right now, I'm totally excited to see such marvellous netting!

What a luxurious way to travel, with most of the comforts you mentioned - but I don't think I would be reading a book, wailing away the hours ... spelunking around the 'hood is more like me, when traveling - investigating everything - more like an explorer ;) unless it is reading the map! cool shot, BB

My kind of camping out with plush mattresses. Any mints on the pillows at night? Looks quite comfy and cozy and not a bad way to travel.
