Description
Captured at a 16:9 aspect ratio on 8/3/12, mid afternoon, in beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Best of all during this Friday shoot, there was just a bare minimum of people around to contaminate the scene. Pretty well crowded during the weekends though.
I posted it larger than normal this time, so don't cheat yourself and definitely do a ZOOM on this one.
Those are picnic tables in the center.
And, being August, it has been unbearably hot here over the past week.
Toodles, and have a nice day.

Another beautiful capture Harry; that wide angle is really wonderful for getting a BIG shot. Looks cool in the shade there under the trees, and the sun dapples are like jewels. Well done! And we've got hot here too, going up to nearly 100 degrees by Friday. I will be very very glad when summer is over!

It really is a beautiful place Harry and a super capture. Zoom was well worth doing.

Just the right amount of light coming through the trees for an excellent dappled look! A lovely array of greens!

I agree with Denise on the wide-angle. This is beautiful. Like your previous dappled park shot, you have beautiful detail of light and shade in the upper leaves, wonderful luminescence next to their shadows, beautifully lit yellow lights in the grass, wonderfully luminous light-gray tree trunks (and some other hues), a beautiful patch of water crossing the background, etc etc, all making up a beautiful and peaceful symphony, filled with great action at the same time. Beautiful detail and overall feeling. Another wonderful capture of natural light, pattern and effulgence. (I'm so surprised that L.A., much warmer than Chicago, actually had cooler temps much of the summer, until August or so. We were sweltering in June---most unusual for this cold city...)
