Hello:
My name is Glenn Gabriel, I live in the United States, in the state of Arizona, with my wonderful wife Sasha.
I’m in my 60’s and had always wanted to do 3D work, but just never had, nor taken the time to learn.
My wife and I are authors as well, and what began my journey into 3D, was the attempt to create a cover for my first novel, “Amanda Ackers and The Deep Forest Elves,†which is a FREE ebook novel, found at Smashwords.com.
I created the cover and all artwork for both book one, and book two, “Amanda Ackers and The Realm Of The Witches†using the FREE program known as Blender. That program will drive you completely nuts! I worked with it for about four months I think, creating both covers for the books, and all the graphics used within the pages of book two. I did all the 3D stuff back in 2009 and 2010, but did not finish writing and publishing the first book until January 3, 2012.
I’m really not a writer. I just wrote the book for the fun of it. I’ve suffered from Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia most all my life, so, I’ve never learned to spell very well, and writing was a nightmare.
My form of Dyslexia, combined with Dysgraphia, meant that when I looked at a single word, the letters would move and change places. Put several words together to form a sentence or paragraph, and I would sit and watch the words move around the page, then once they began to settle some, as I concentrated and really focused, the letters would exchange places within all the words. Ugh! Drove me nuts.
Of course, back in the 60’s, not much was known about Dyslexia, Dyscalculia nor Dysgraphia, so, no one, including my parents and teachers believed me.
I was always teased and bullied as a kid, and have been called every name in the book… even many I did not understand, but knew they were not nice :)
Not allowed to participate in most class projects or discussions dealing with reading and writing, I had one teacher who enjoyed putting me on the spot, for the amusement of herself and the class. Not understand nouns, verbs and such, and her knowing it, asked me to stand one day to answer a question. The entire class laughed and I hadn’t even stood yet.
She asked, “Glenn, what is a pronoun?â€
Gulp! I had no idea in the world. The only thing that came to mind was, professional football, basketball, baseball and other players who got paid for what they did. Any guesses as to what my answer was? Yep, I stood up and with the class snickering, me red in the face said, “A pronoun is a professional noun.†I’ll never forget the roar of the class, most in tears… as was I. She sent me to the principal’s office for… disrespecting the teacher and disrupting the class. Come to think of it, I spent a good deal of time at the principal’s office, which was great, because we got to be great friends and always played interesting games!
As you can see from my writing, I put punctuation wherever I want, and not where they should go. I put commas where I would normally take a breath if speaking. I have no idea what a semicolon is for, and simply don’t use them. Without a word processor, I would not write at all. I learned touch typing so I would not have to look at the keyboard and watch the letters on the keys change places.
To my surprise, my novel, at least the first two books, and the few other very short, 600 word short stories Sasha and I have done, have now been downloaded over 31,000 times! I only published them on Smashwords.com so our family could read them if they so choose.
Finding Renderosity is awesome! I have met so many wonderful and talented people here, and am in awe at the talent of all.
Should any of you wish to contact me, other than through the mail here at Renderosity, please shoot me an email to: glennandsasha@gmail.com I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks so much for taking the time to view my work, and for being patient with my writing to read this.

Quite amazing! Beautifully composed, to the bend, to where the imagination takes over. I zoomed to relish it the better (now why don't more people do that? There is a nice subsidiary picture on the right side, but there's interest everywhere).
