Description

Andrea (durleybeachbum), commenting on my post from last night, guessed that the areas of Lake Nakuru covered in pink were flamingos. We arrived late in the season and so there were tens of thousands of birds instead of hundreds of thousands. The lake is a birder's paradise.

There is something so calming and ZEN-like! (believe it or not?) when finding an image like this, surrounded with so much life in the vastness of another continent ... I know it sounds like a paradox but this is the way it effects me! I feel like a stunned mullet, seeing all this beauty around! BB
