Description

Though a lot of technology has changed since I was a young boy, bumper cars have basically stayed the same & are just as much fun. Although I can't really remember for sure, I believe one of the few differences may be that we didn't have safety straps back in my day. This is my grandson Eligh on the bumper car ride on the Santa Cruz boardwalk. He enjoyed it so much that he went back four times... Please zoom

Well, I know they had safety straps 25 yrs ago ... I like how everything but your subject is blurred.

Over here the carnival folk are hell bent on stopping you actually bumping anyone!

Fabulous fun memories (miss these at any of the Fair's in our area, here they elected to keep you from bumping into anyone by eliminating the ride altogether)!

I haven't seen these in years. Great shot, you really captured the fun and motion of the ride. Haven't visited Santa Cruz in years - looks like it's still as I remember it.

Excellent work, who would have thought of HDR on this kind of subject, nice one.

I agree with Ronoir that HDR is not at all expected for a moving subject but you pulled it off well, and clearly from a single shot. The rich vibrancy is quite unexpected. Most of my HDR is also single shot but when I occassionaly do get the multiple exposures it can make a difference. Nicely done, the vibrancy well suits the action.

Thank heavens for safety belts - I don't remember them, when I was going 'round and round' ;) the focus on your grandson is perfect - against the blurry BG! a fine bright and happy capture, Claude BB
