Description

Cetonia aurata on Hydrangea paniculata. They are quite shy and hide their heads in the petals when they see you, but I got a few shots with the flash, which I rarely use. I know it's not sharp, but it serves to show what an amazing construction these beetles have.

Take a bow! A true mini beast is revealed to us all. Aren't you glad they are small? They would be terrifying the size of a small dog, with such armour as well. Superb Macro work!
