Description


Machimus cingulatus mating on a wooden seat in Knoll Gardens, Ferndown, Dorset. They weren't keen on the intrusion and made off before I could get a second shot. Food: Flying insects - especially flies and mosquitoes. The larvae feed on dead vegetation. The larvae eat dead vegetation
