What do I do?  I write and I love art.  I love to read fantasy and science fiction, especially if there are dark creatures and lots of romance thrown in.ÂÂ
About 2 and a half years ago I started doing 3D art after a lifetime of fooling around with traditional media like pastel and pencil and watercolor.  I love this medium - Poser and what can be done with it, and also mixing poser with digital painting.  I enjoy painting skies and cloth and hair for the most part and adding magical effects in post work. ÂÂ
Now I'm learning how to model and texture, too and am finding it quite addicting to practice.  I hope that I can become as at ease with that process as rendering.
I hope you enjoy my gallery! Delaney Anne Grant

Sorry to hear this... seems like the rules are stiffening a lot lately. Hope life slows a bit for you soon. Take good care.

Oh my goodness, is that real? No linking allowed now. So sorry about this, Delaney. That artwork you posted was one of your best and I like it for being original and knowing you have spent a lot of time working on it, just sad.
RodS
Yeah, I know how you feel, Delaney. I've only removed one, and that was due to a mess-up on my part.... And I've re-posted it since then... That was a beautiful image, hon! I love Rendo, but they have some rather.....how to say it........childish rules in place. You can't link to a site with competing products, but it's OK to link to say, your personal website. Like they're going to miss out on a buck or two... Like Rene says, it's all greed... Ah well.... enough ranting... Hon, my mind is a bowl of jello before the day even starts! ;-P

That really stinks, sorry to see even one of your works go. I remember one year ago when I began posting and visiting the galleries you would never see fewer than 7500 "artists currently online". Now on a good day you might find 2500. It may be time for someone besides me to take note of this (and wonder why), before there is no one left to post and no art left in the galleries.
renecyberdoc
yeah its sad to see that whatever you do wherever you go all these regulations, people robbing other peoples art,new products are developed in secret ,because the vendor next door might take a glimpse and use your idea etc, etc, in the very near future you cant even fart outside, lest you molest the noses of the upper class (whos farts stink even more but no one cares lol) i am not allowed to smoke when i am near a schoolyard, but the stupid mothers who come and pick up their breed can leave their car engines running alongside. and yes at twelvemark, not much artists online since a couple of months,at the moment less than 2.000 artists online- early morning 07:00 gmt +2

Oh dear. This is so annoying and I hope you'll get better soon. I agree with Twrlvemark about the number of artists on line which suddenly dropped last year. What a shame for this very friendly community. Hugs. Odile

Sorry to hear you have been having problems with the rules. They do seem stupid at times.

It is very well expressed. I thank you for this one. 5+!

You can get around this by just crediting name deviantart and then /name Most of the stock artists ask for credit where possible so although no linking is allowed on RO (as I myself discovered a little while back through a visit by staff to my gallery) it is still possible to give credit and head someone in the right direction to finding the sources. I did not remove any of mine (and you know I had to go back through every single artwork for quite a few years to remove links) and just compromised on how I cited. e.g. do a search for 'name' on deviantart or as I stated above ;O-)

When I read you delete a post, I was saying to myself, "what did you say this time?" lol.... I say whatever comes to mind and then move on, I have too many friends - lol... so, if I ever say anything that makes you feel bad, that's not my intentions - just site mail me so I can explain.... I don't like removing posts either, and my last one, I thought the mods were going to delete it - they wrote me.... I painted the devil's face in the smoke of 911 and they asked if someone else owned the rights to it.... I see copyright violations all the time by rendo, but I'm not going to tell them to delete this site - lol

I am sorry to hear about that, they will only push people to leave for deviant art ...take care, hugsss

I find it ridiculous that you can't post a link to another site even though it's another marketplace. I'm not going to stop buying from Renderosity. Really, I don't see a conflict of interest and I would think they could see that too. A way around it is to name the web site you got it from but do not provide a direct link or url. I believe if you name it and don't link it its ok. E.g. 'stock/brush/item from artist so and so at DIZ 3D' Then someone can go to DIZ 3D and do a search on that artist. That should satisfy the artist and the admins here.

I really appreciate all the support, my friends. Just to clarify, there are resources at DA that only require credit, not a link and those I can still use here. However this particular artwork had ones that required a link back, not just mention. Otherwise I would not have pulled the piece down.
BellaDark
This is really unfortunate, I favourited that piece! :) At least I can see it at Deviant Art but still. :( Hugs, Delaney, you should be amazingly proud of that painting. I'm gonna favourite this one too, though, just to remind me.:)
loligagger
Well that sucks, this looks good and I hope things calm down for you soon!!!!!!!!
DukeNukem2005
Wonderful! Fantastic! Very beautiful!

Sad story to hear. Sometimes rules don't make any sense. Renderosity is a commercial site, right - but they loose nothing to others because the active artists here promotes it so well by using it. But as mentioned the fact that te numbers of artists online have decreased could be a symptom of something?.. :o[
HADCANCER
968 in count down till I am here never more. Liked your render.
