Description

Captured 9/28/12, early in the morn, within walking distance of my principled place. A ZOOM will reveal magnificent features. Incidentally, I checked the dictionary for the plural of hibiscus, hopefully hibisci, but there was none. Aloha, and have a nice day.

Beautiful photo. We have a white hibiscus in our yard here in KY that has blooms as large as dinner plates.

When zoomed in the shadow casted by the pistol is more evident and amazing texture is more pronounced on the petals of this flower. Very nice Dad ! :-)

Wow, spectacular on zoom, Harry; I guess the plural must be hibiscuses, or maybe like the Highlander, there can be only one? You don't need more than one when they're this gorgeous!

Absolutely spectacular! Indeed, one of your all-time best. The plural is hibiscuses, which is disappointing. I had understood that words whose last vowel was a "U" (such as hippopotamUs and octopUs and crocUs) would always convert to the plural with an "I" on the end (hippopotamI, octopI and crocI). Nevertheless, this is a stunning shot of these beautiful blooms. Gorgeous image!
