Description
Queen Tyr'ahnee from the 2003 animated series, Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century, inspired by the 1953 Chuck Jones directed theatrical short of the same title. Created as a counterpoint for the venerable Warner Brothers character, Marvin the Martian, the Martian Queen is tall, lithe, attractive, and bold. She wears an ensemble with quasi Egyptian trappings, a pop culture Cleopatra to Marvin's Greco-Roman motif. And like Marvin, there is no direct evidence of a mouth, though in profile, we see the faint outline of a nose. Tia Carrere (of "Wayne's World" fame) voiced the character.
Years from now, she probably won't be remembered as much as the rest of the Merry Melodies/Loony Toons "pantheon" (the nature of her character pretty much ties her to this one series), but she has developed someting of cult following. Though if she were real, I suspect she would not appreciate how she is usually depicted in fan art.

Oh, just for clarification, the question in the title is not a request for affirmation, not by me, anyway. No, I'm merely quoting what Marvin (aka Commander X-2) usually said when Tyr'ahnee made her entrances. It's a variation upon one of his signature lines, "Isn't that lovely...hmm?" spoken in the classic theatrical shorts. In retrospect I realized the title might be misconstrued as a plea for praise. Incidentally, I noticed the "raw" render depicted a slight highlight upon A3's lips, so I used an image editing suite, PaintShop Pro, to "erase" that subtle detail. After all, part of the visual humor involves the seeming lack of a mouth. Sincerely, Bill

Loved the series, and thought the Martian Queen was a brilliant creation.

Sadly, it's not even shown on Boomerang anymore. Thankfully YouTube offers numerous clips and other streaming sites provide more footage (read: whole episodes) than Warner Bros would likely appreciate. ;-)
Sincerely,
Bill
