Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive.  All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

Well set-up shot. These look like everyday mushrooms, from your description, I take it they are poison?
HeavensBlonde
wow not edible huh??
Richardphotos
I do not mesh with any of them, especially having no inkling to which are safe. I can take or leave mushrooms. good you take the time to dispose of them

Not sure these are fly agaric mushrooms. They look more like the psylicibin ones with the lighter coloration of the caps. Still...not good to mess if you're not sure because you're right, fly agaric is not a pleasant way to go. They're a healthy looking lot though. Nice box of colors Mike - wheee, colors! Don't mind me :-9 Great cap-ture.

That is some collection Mike, they really are something. That's a nice thing you're doing in removing them and keeping people out of harms way

They are pretty little things though. I guess if they are pretty they are bad for you...LOL (I guess that goes for the opposite sex too). My wife knows what is good. She recently went to the neighbors and got about 20 lb's of mushrooms. she dried most of them. She gets all excited when she finds some really funny looking ones, as I guess they are very expensive. Personally I do no like them that much. I like the pain old everyday ones...smile. I showed my wife your picture and she said some of those are not poisonous. She is sending me a site link which I will forward to you. She told me what they are but I forget. Here is the link. I tried to do it for you but there were a couple of questions I was not 100% sure of, but you can do it and it will tell you what they are. http://www.mycokey.com/newMycoKeySite/MycoKeyIdentQuick.html

Quite the gruesome looking haul and a most startling decription of the type of death these fungi would bring! Amazing to think they grow out where any unsuspecting individual might come along and ingest them and die! Great photo!
cricke49
yea if they aren't morels then they can just die a horrible death, lol! excellent capture mike!:)*5

are you sure that latex gloves are appropriate to work on this, how about rubber working gloves?'more robust??lol. i do hope that no kids walk around and taste a byte like kids do. reminds me when ute and me went for mushrooms in the wood. one day we found a devils whaever his name is mushroom.i took it out and posed it on the ground. when we came back half an hour later the fungi was disintegrating and fuming, really smoke coming out of it. now you must imagine the force of the poison in this bugger to eat itself up. remember there are poisenous people like this around as well.

Good Job Mike, feel free to come clean them up in my pine plantation anytime you like but you will need a good sized truck :)

These look huge. Crimini and brown mushrooms only for me. I don't even mess with Portobello. Definitely wear a mask to protect yourself from any stray spores. Wonderful thing you're doing for people and any animal that may pass by. Now I feel like fixing a mushroom omelet.

The nature can be soo nice and .....toxic!!
