Description
local charities and support groups use the fair and midways to help raise funds for their work... usually selling tickets for "a pot of gold".... "new car or truck... your choice"....any manner of prize, usually donated by local businesses (for a healthy tax write-off)... people buy the tix, knowing full well that their chance of winning are seriously small.... but these sales are for a good cause.. helping the local community... staffed by volunteers, long hours in a hot, sweaty environment... deserving of respect...
and no..... I didn't win the pot of gold... the new car... ;-)
