Description

At Hengistbury Head, where we walked last weekend in lovely sunshine. These ponds provide a fabulous environment for masses of insects and animals, as well as being beautiful. The surroundings are populated mainly by scrub oaks. Dogs are asked not to go in, but I have to admit Buster had a furtive dip in the rather smelly water. I had to give him a chance to wash off in the harbour later. Do view full size!

so much of interest here Andrea, the more you look the more you see, it works so well as a whole and as individual pockets within it.

Sterling shot of the pond amidst the mass of dormant flora, A. Reminds me so much of the El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach, California.

A lovely capture of this beautiful place but what a shame that the dogs can't go into the water. I can see that it is a great place for insect life and birds.

What a beautiful place! It would be so easy to spend an entire day there, just wandering around and looking at everything. I love the light, and you've composed the shot in such a pleasing way!

My first thought was "Where the Wild Things Are". A beautiful scene. I particularly like the trees with their wild branches spread everywhere. Reminds me of my hair...when I had it.
