I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Cool spacework.

I like a good, sleek, high-tech trilobyte and these are amazing! Now I am wondering who built them and where there're going, as it looks as if they're in a hurry! This is a super render and one that I hope opens the door into a brand new universe. I love the textures. I love the colors. I love the trilobite inspiration. Amazing work. I especially like the background as well...foreground and background are perfect for each other here! More would be nice!

I like these ships much ! I got quite enthralled when I first looked at the pic and lots of memories began flooding back, so it took me some time and effort to sort through them... In fact, they combine bioships design trends, like B5 Vorlons, Farscape Moya or Freelancer Nomads, with classical rocketships style of the grand Space-Op' tradition and a texture reminiscent of the famous "Ailleurs et Demain" abstract metal-like book covers. Lots of very meaningful references for someone like me, and that explains how powerfully they moved my mind and memories ^-^

The ships remind me Flas Gordon, good memories. A classic SCFI. Congrat.

So many of my creations end up not the way I was intending them to be and ended up being some of my best work....Funny how ones imagination has a way of taking over during the creative process!.. Stellar Scene and Modeling!

These ships are incredible, Mike! They do remind me very much of trilobites… It still amazes me the things you get Bryce to do… Last time I tried to texture anything in Bryce, it just kept crashing on me. I'll probably try again once I have a little bit more time, and now that I have Bryce seven Pro… I certainly couldn't resist it at the current price… :-)

Excellent ships! Love that texture. To me, they had a Babylon 5 feel to them, but I was thinking more of Shadow ships...

Agree with geirla. I like the second version best but both are good.
