Description
Another part of a trip I took recently with a friend it was on to New Orleans.... what a wonderful city, had so much fun touring the streets and local restaurants with you Michael. I think I even won a few games of pool one night. See you New Years.
This was taken with a new camera (Nikon Coolpix P510) I had bought on our trip, it has an amazing zoom, so I was trying it out a bit, I normally shoot with a Nikon DSLR but I wanted something that I could have with me at all times as well.
This was taken at Cafe Du Monde Great place to stop for a nice break for some strong coffee and some sweet treats.

I have so much catching up to do, it's not even funny! AH, but I get to see this one. I love the fact that it's one of those "incomplete" shots I love so much: food photography is very difficult. Food should be eaten, not seen, it sometimes seems, based on the way that it doesn't always photograph well, but THIS is quite nice. I love the textures, the powder and the bubbles in the coffee-drink. I love that so much of the photograph isn't in the frame. It nicely accents what you DO see there! This is marvelous!
