Description

Another part of a trip I took recently with a friend it was on to New Orleans.... what a wonderful city, had so much fun touring the streets and local restaurants with you Michael. I think I even won a few games of pool one night. See you New Years. This was taken with a new camera (Nikon Coolpix P510) I had bought on our trip, it has an amazing zoom, so I was trying it out a bit, I normally shoot with a Nikon DSLR but I wanted something that I could have with me at all times as well. This was taken at Cafe Du Monde Great place to stop for a nice break for some strong coffee and some sweet treats. My last image:

Great picture! There's a lot to be said for a carry-around camera. I'm quite proud of some of the pics taken with my Samsung Galaxy II phone. Who needs a 2k DSLR???? ;)

Pizza at Lombardi's for an early lunch and Cafe Du Monde for a late afternoon coffee break. We just have to be jet-setters. :) Beautiful capture! Look at all that powdered sugar. Just don't sneeze. yes you got to do the Cafe' au lait and beignets, of course i do not like coffee so i will eat the beignets. You can buy the mix but it not the same if you cook them at home lol. there is a site you can make home made here is the web page http://www.gumbopages.com/food/breakfast/beignets.html I made some one time and they are good.
