I never knew of the man, but others loved his work and that is good enough for me.

Growing up in Canada I was fortunate enough & privileged to have access to many of his series as reruns but also as they were being released as I was growing up, I have fond memories, of many of his series until my mid teens, a truly good introduction to the world of SciFi: Supercar (1961–62) – first Supermarionation production Fireball XL5 (1962–63) Stingray (1964–65) Thunderbirds (1965–66) Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967–68) Joe 90 (1968–69) The Secret Service (1969) UFO (1970–71) The Protectors (1972–74) Space: 1999 (1975–77) A great era of British SciFi, the list above being my faves, we have lost a truly great story teller & futurist in mr Andserson' passing. Beautiful tribute mate. Gods Truth, TO Gerry!

I remember and have seen all of Gerry Anderson's works. Maybe I should do some kind of tribute to Thunderbirds. I have ideas already. Den Tracy (distant cousin) goes to Tracy Island. :)

Crikey! And what kind of sci-fi from Britain do we get in the States? Dr Who that's who? And Red Shift. Too of the suckiest sci-fi programs I ever saw. Sigh. Sorry for your loss.
