Good news. Biopsy came up clean :)
Bad news: Having issues with infections that are causing a lot of pain.

I saw this last night, but didn't get to comment and so I'm commenting now. This is amazing. I love the blue tones, the night mood...the kinda gothic, spooky feeling this has along with implications of warmth coming through the window. It's the window that draws my attention and it makes me think of someone in there, nice and comfy, reading something bound in expensive leather, or at least decent cardboard, as modern books tend to be. This is really great and I like the good news that comes with it. Infections can be painful and annoying, but they're not permanent. The better news is clean biopsy. Fantastic. Great artwork, too. I have so much to catch up on in your gallery and I look forward to that.

Beautiful! I love the colors! The deep, rich blues are gorgeous. Wonderful play of light and shadows. I love the heavy veil of blue cooling the tones of the building, flowers, and trees, and the golden glow glow inside.

god, I swore I'd commented on this...maybe I sent you a note instead: I don't remember now! But I remember congratulating you on the results of your tests, and expressing sorrow for your infections...(I was sure I left a comment in your gallery!) Well anyway, you know my heart was with you on your tests, and on your later infections, as my thoughts are with your healing on all levels no and at all times. This image was simple but beautiful, a sweet way of coming back from the difficult world of tests and waiting. I thought this was another of your magical explorations of night or pre-night (or pre-dawn, perhaps). While you do beautiful work with full color and light, you also do beautiful work with the transitional hours (dawn/dusk), and with night itself. I don't know much about 3D, but I assume that, in 3D, you have to manipulate low light imagery with care---the same way you do with camera images, for example. (Many cameras won't allow you low-light images, as the sensors aren't good enough. Well, they'll allow you, but the images will be too dark, or too grainy.) So doing an image like this, I assume, takes real thought and care. This has real light inside the darkness, in the clouds/sky, in the details on the house and the roof, and in the plants and flowers around it. So you've articulated the darkness, made it shine. And the overall feel---a blue/violet feel---is introspective, like night itself. Well, it's an Elvish garden, so it has play and magic---and it feels like it. (Also, your seal is placed in the right spot, to my eye; it works very naturally with the image.) I've only done 3D a few times in my life, and I'll post one when I'm ready to move to an undisclosed location and change my name to Dmitri (or Sven---something miles removed from "Mark"!). But I always marvel at the worlds you coax out of these difficult lights and dark hues. Beautiful and enchanted piece, like so many of your pieces here.
